Intro to Lost Wax Casting (3-class series)
Step into the world of the professional goldsmith and discover the ancient magic of lost wax casting. In this immersive 3-session intensive (9 hours total), you will transform hand-carved wax models into solid metal through the transformative power of the kiln burnout and the pour.
⚠️ ONLY 4 SPOTS AVAILABLE — Small Class, Big Creative Growth.
The Deep Dive: Skill and Intention
Lost wax casting is unpredictable. No two pours are identical and failures teach you as much as successes. This workshop focuses on building real technical skill: learning to carve detailed wax models, create molds, manage heat, and troubleshoot when things do not go as planned.
You will develop the precision and confidence you need to cast intricate designs that would otherwise require expensive machinery or outsourcing. The true value of this intensive is understanding how the technique works at every stage. This ensures you can attend to Open Studio sessions and cast your own independent projects with skill and intention.
By the end of this intensive, you will understand the relationship between the wax, the investment, and the kiln. This gives you the creative agency to push the boundaries of your metalwork in a professional studio environment.
